About Colin
Colin’s clients benefit from his nearly two decades of experience dealing with litigation, appellate, regulatory, transactional, and investigative matters across diverse practice areas. He excels at helping debt collectors, data furnishers, fintechs, and merchants clearly understand compliance obligations, strategically manage litigation risk, navigate regulatory scrutiny, and create legal-operational efficiency.
Colin handles both trial and appellate matters and has a talent for quickly identifying key issues in these areas. In addition, his experience has equipped him with a deep and nuanced understanding of the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and related state consumer-protection laws.
Colin’s work keeps him at the forefront of the rapidly developing state laws and judicial decisions governing privacy and data security, as well as emerging regulations related to artificial intelligence.
He also remains skilled in drafting, reviewing, and litigating commercial contracts, an area in which he gained substantial experience earlier in his career.
