Hinshaw's Vaishali Rao was featured in the article titled "DeVos ups ante with state AGs in battle over student loan servicing," published by American Banker. The article analyzes the latest move by U.S. Department of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos—a Federal Register Notice—in the student loan servicing battle.
"How much deference the court will give this kind of notice is an open question,'" Vaishali said. "Regulatory skirmishes actually complicate compliance," she said, adding, "how can you efficiently and effectively service across sectors when the standards are so different?"
