Hinshaw's Gene Brown and Amee Mikacich co-presented as part of a program titled "Masters in Trial™" on November 1, 2019. Sponsored by the San Francisco chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the program was a trial demonstration and covered everything from making opening statements to the jury deliberation process. Brown and Mikacich, along with the other presenters, explored a fictional product liability case where the defendant alleged her husband was killed while using an industrial product.
ABOTA, of which both Brown and Mikacich are members, is an invitation-only organization of more than 7,600 plaintiff and defense trial attorneys nationwide. It is dedicated to preserving the right to jury trial under the Seventh Amendment and training the next generation of lawyers to practice law with the highest standards of professionalism and advocacy.
Visit the ABOTA website for more information about the program and the organization.
