About Nicole
Maintaining a diverse litigation practice, Nicole counsels large insurance carriers on high-stakes cases and works with a variety of businesses and Fortune 100/500 companies on business disputes, including insurance coverage, commercial, bad faith, and construction litigation matters. Nicole also defends insurers in commercial class actions in multidistrict litigation in courts nationwide.
Areas of Focus
Experience
- Achieved summary judgment on behalf of the carrier holding no coverage for multi-million dollar construction defect lawsuit.
- Secured summary judgment on behalf of carrier holding no additional insured coverage for general contractor in multi-million dollar construction defect lawsuit.
- Defended an insurance company whose insured was facing more than $50 million in claims brought against it by multiple national builders over construction defect claims in Florida. Hinshaw extinguished almost all of the liability with only minimal policy limits and in the face of numerous competing time limit demands. The negotiated settlement also protected the client from future bad faith exposure based upon its alleged failure to settle those claims.
