- Obtained summary judgment in a Section 1983 and Americans with Disabilities Act civil rights case involving allegations of constitutional violations by the Illinois Department of Corrections.
- Secured summary judgment in a Section 1983 civil rights case involving allegations of constitutional violations by the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services, where the plaintiff sought more than $90 million in damages.
- Achieved dismissal with prejudice for an employer on several state court claims alleging liability for the acts of an employee who committed sexual assault during work trip, arguing that the company lacked prior notice of any propensity for misconduct and that after-hours conduct, even while traveling for work, falls outside the scope of one’s employment.
- Reached an agreed dismissal with prejudice during summary judgment briefing on behalf of local municipality accused of negligence arising from an alleged vehicular pursuit by its police officers that resulted in a severe car accident.
- Resolved a personal injury matter through mediation on behalf of a third-party subcontractor, obtaining a settlement significantly below the plaintiff’s initial demand.
