S. Stuart Soldate

With nearly a half century handling insurance-related corporate and regulatory matters, Stuart provides broad counsel to insurance companies. He leverages his experience in life and property casualty industries to advise clients on corporate acquisitions, sales of blocks of business, reinsurance and securitization transactions, leveraged buyouts, spin-offs, and the formation, capitalization, and recapitalization of insurance companies. He has worked on diverse projects for insurance companies as well as insurance-related matters for corporations outside the insurance sector.

Stuart also has extensive experience in insurance products and corporate tax issues, captives, and related areas. He advises mutual insurance companies on various aspects of reorganization, including mutual holding companies. In addition, Stuart structures extended warranty programs for several major auto manufacturers.
