Profile

Stephen Mehr defends the interests of clients in government and commercial litigation matters. He also represents clients in post-trial and appellate matters before the Illinois Appellate Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits. He keeps his clients informed and leverages his experience in all stages of the litigation process to develop tailored solutions for their needs and goals.

Before joining Hinshaw as an associate, Steve worked as a law clerk with the firm. He also clerked in the litigation section of the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission, where he worked on a broad range of civil and administrative proceedings. He was also a judicial extern for judges in the Illinois Appellate Court and Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division.

During law school, Steve served as Lead Articles Editor for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal and assisted in teaching first-year constitutional law students.
