About Victor
Drawing on his two decades of litigation experience, Victor focuses his practice on matters facing the financial services sector. He represents mortgage lenders, servicers, and other financial institutions in consumer financial services litigation, as well as real estate and general commercial litigation. He also handles title insurance defense and contested mortgage foreclosure litigation.
Victor believes that information is invaluable, and works closely with clients to ensure that they are appropriately involved at all phases of the litigation process, from matter inception to resolution. His solutions are both creative and tailored to meet his clients' unique challenges and objectives.
Over the course of his career, Victor has been fortunate to work on a number of cases that became seminal turning points in the financial services litigation space. His innovative arguments have resulted in novel decisions that have helped shape the industry for the better.
In 2016, in a New York Supreme Court action, 4 Cosgrove 950 Corp. v. Deutsche Bank Nat’l Trust Co, Victor, along with his colleague and good friend Mitra Singh, was the first attorney in the State of New York to advance and prevail upon the argument that a voluntary discontinuance constituted a revocation. This decision was cited favorably in the Court of Appeals’ seminal 2021 ruling on the statute of limitations in Freedom Mortgage Corp. v. Engel.
