Victor Matthews defends the interests of clients in litigation, focusing primarily on matters facing the financial services sector. He represents mortgage lenders, servicers, and other financial institutions in consumer financial services litigation, as well as real estate and general commercial litigation. Victor has almost fifteen years of experience handling these cases, as well as those involving title insurance defense and contested mortgage foreclosure litigation.

Committed to ensuring his clients are informed, Victor handles all phases of litigation, from inception to resolution. He works tirelessly to provide solutions tailored to the issues his clients are facing.

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Victor practiced in the New York office of a New Orleans-based firm, which he helped open. He gained additional experience with firms throughout New York, focusing extensively on commercial mortgage and real estate litigation.

Victor is the proud father of five children: Morgan, Lucas, Dylan, Audrey, and Carter. He grew up in Syosset, and lives with his wife, Cheryl, and their children in Bethpage. Victor is active in the community and can often be found at his children's basketball games. For recreation, Victor enjoys basketball, softball, and soccer, as well as the Jets, Islanders, and Knicks.
