Colleen Mullane advises clients on a wide range of civil litigation, focusing on the defense of personal injury and property damage matters. She has also worked on medical malpractice and personal injury cases, as well as immigration and asbestos litigation matters. With experience that includes legal research and drafting motions and opinions, Colleen is involved in all phases of litigation, working to ensure her clients are informed throughout the process.

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Colleen was both a summer associate and a law clerk with the firm. She gained additional experience through several internships and externships, including working for the Honorable James McGing, Circuit Court of Cook County as a judicial clerk. Colleen also interned with boutique firms based in New York and Chicago.

While attending law school, she volunteered with Croak Student Legal Services at DePaul University and assisted the lawyer on staff with research on disputes such as landlord-tenant and employment issues. In addition, Colleen served as a Teaching Assistant to a first year legal writing course and was a member of the Dean's List. She also received a CALI award for excellence in Legal Analysis Research and Communication III and was a Staff Editor for the DePaul Law Review.

Personal

Colleen is a certified Irish Dance teacher with An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha and teaches Irish Dance lessons in Chicago with her family at the Mullane Godley Irish Dance Academy.

Colleen and a troupe of her Irish dancers appeared on NBC Chicago on St. Patrick's Day 2022.
