During law school, Kellie served as a judicial extern for the Honorable William Bauer, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the Honorable Sharon Johnson Coleman, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Experience

Secured a not-guilty verdict after a two-week trial in DuPage County, with the jury deliberating for just over one hour. The plaintiff alleged that an emergency room physician misdiagnosed him with a hypertensive emergency, leading to the administration of Nitroprusside, a potent vasodilator. The plaintiff claimed the medication caused a 67-point drop in blood pressure, ultimately resulting in a massive stroke 18 hours later. Successfully demonstrated the physician's adherence to the standard of care and the complexities of the plaintiff's medical condition.
