The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Minneapolis partners Mitchel Chargo, Amy DuMond Kottke, and Russell Ponessa have been named 2024 Top Lawyers in Minnesota by Minnesota Monthly.
Chargo and DuMond Kottke were among 45 lawyers recognized in the Real Estate Law category, while Ponessa was among 34 lawyers recognized in the Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions category.
Minnesota Monthly annually publishes a list of the state's top lawyers. The selection process involves independent research, including an online peer-review survey sent to all lawyers in Minnesota. The list is determined by thousands of votes cast for the honorees.
Chargo is an experienced attorney who represents clients in matters related to Minnesota’s cannabis program, covering regulatory issues, licensing, financing, and more. He works with hemp manufacturers, cannabis license applicants, and Native American cannabis businesses, actively contributing to the industry's development and regulations.
DuMond Kottke represents developers, landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers on borrowing, lending, leasing, and all stages of real estate transactions from raw land to inner city redevelopment. With numerous accolades for her real estate practice, DuMond Kottke is recognized as a seasoned "dirt" lawyer adept at navigating complex commercial portfolio transactions and real estate development projects nationwide.
Ponessa is a trial lawyer with thirty years of experience representing companies facing legal challenges to their products or business practices. He defends against claims involving product and professional liability, medical devices, toxic torts, construction, commercial disputes, insurance coverage, and consumer issues in state and federal courts across the country.
