Law360 released its inaugural results of the "Top 100 Firm for Minority Attorneys" survey on May 19, 2015. U.S. law firms were ranked on each firms' minority representation at the partner and non-partner levels, and also on each firm's total number of minority attorneys.
Of the 289 U.S. firms that were surveyed, Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP ranked 56th. Almost every firm in the Top 100 surpassed the overall average among U.S. law firms of 14 percent minority attorneys and 8 percent minority partners.
These firms display the trends of the 2015 Law360 Minority Report, which found that while racial diversity has improved at law firms in the U.S over the past 15 years, minority representation at all levels of the law firm hierarchy — and particularly among partners —is below the law school graduation rates for minority attorneys.
