About Kerry
Kerry represents municipalities and public agencies, protecting their interests and supporting effective governance. She draws upon more than a decade of experience as an award-winning journalist and author covering government, politics, and education issues across Illinois.
Inspired to pursue a second career while her daughters were small, Kerry entered law school to advocate for justice and fairness in unprecedented times. While earning her degree, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert W. Gettleman in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, and the Honorable Terrence Lavin in the Illinois Appellate Court’s First District. She also contributed as a senior writer and extern in the International Advocacy and Litigation group at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights.
