About Dawn

Dawn has extensive experience defending professionals operating in a range of industries, including legal medical, assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care, accounting, and real estate brokers and agents. She regularly represents clients in litigation involving professional liability, insurance coverage, products liability, construction disputes, and both personal and commercial liability claims. Her practice focuses on personal injury matters.

She has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict in state and federal courts and has obtained complete not guilty verdicts in every case she tried, including medical malpractice, personal injuries, and product liability cases.

Dawn is the partner in charge of Hinshaw's Belleville, Illinois, office, and chairs the Sexual and Unlawful Harassment Committee. She also serves on numerous other firm committees.

Appointed by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Lloyd A. Karmeier, Dawn served on an eight-member panel tasked with selecting a candidate to fill a vacancy on the Fifth District Appellate Court. She has also been appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to several other select committees. She was also named by the Chief Judge of the Southern District of Illinois to serve on multiple federal court committees.
