Insurance Webinar Vine to Wine, and the Fire In Between: Hinshaw Attorneys Discuss Impact of Wildfires on California's Wine Industry and Insurers
Webinar
Apr 22, 2020
San Francisco-based Hinshaw attorneys Jonathan Thames, Pamela Schultz, and Erik Kowalewsky will present a webinar hosted by the American Institute of Marine Underwriters (AIMU) titled "Lunch and Learn: Vine to Wine, and the Fire In Between," on April 22, 2020 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Eastern.
In their presentation, the group will investigate how the recent wildfires have affected California's winery industry—the fourth largest wine maker in the world—at all levels, including damage to the wine itself, as well as losses to winery buildings, vineyards, tasting rooms, and wine tourism. Recognizing that insurance coverage is paramount, they will also address how Californian insurers are continuing to update their risk models and how non-admitted insurers could acquire a bigger share of this market.
