A trio of Hinshaw attorneys—David Alfini, Aimee Delaney, and Adam Guetzow—will present at the 2020 LeadingAge Illinois Human Resources Virtual Workshop to be held July 28 – 29, 2020. Designed for HR professionals in the aging services environment, the workshop aims to help attendees stay on top of HR trends and developments. A summary of the Hinshaw presentations follows below.
Changing Employment Regulations and Guidance During the COVID-19 Pandemic
From 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Central on July 28, Delaney will review evolving guidance and regulations concerning employment-related matters during the pandemic. She will also help attendees understand the risks of employment-related litigation that may follow the initial wave of COVID-19 and also discuss best practices for mitigating further litigation as the pandemic continues.
COVID-19 Return to Work: Best Practices and Policies and Procedures for Aging Services Providers Returning Employees to Work During the COVID-19 Pandemic
On July 29, Alfini, Delaney, and Guetzow will team up to present the final program of the workshop from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Central. The group will provide an overview of the rules and regulations applicable to employees returning to work during the pandemic. Additional topics of discussion include best practices for implementing pandemic-related policies and procedures, as well as a review of lessons learned when it comes to handling difficult employee issues.
