Min Kang Appointed to the Washington State Bar Association Board of Governors

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that partner Min Kang has been appointed to serve on the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) Board of Governors. Min will fill the remainder of District 2 Governor Kari Petrasek’s term and continue serving in the role through 2028. Petrasek is vacating her seat to assume the role of WSBA President.

About the WSBA Board of Governors

The WSBA Board of Governors serves as the governing body of the Washington State Bar Association, overseeing the organization's general policies and annual budget. According to the WSBA, “The board moves the Bar forward with an eye toward its long-standing mission, guiding principles, and short-term strategic goals.” Board members are elected from each of Washington's congressional districts and play a vital role in guiding the future of the legal profession throughout the state.

About Min

Min is an experienced attorney who advises clients on risk management, insurance coverage, contract disputes, and appellate matters. She represents a diverse range of clients, from national corporations to local businesses and private individuals, developing strategic legal solutions that address complex challenges across multiple jurisdictions.

A respected leader within the legal community, Min previously served as President of the Korean American Bar Association of Washington, with whom she remains on the Advisory Board. She has also served as a civil legal advisor for the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Seattle and as a prior representative for the Washington State Joint Asian Judicial Evaluations Committee. She is currently an active member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the Asian Bar Association of Washington, and the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Washington. She is also a member of Hinshaw’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.
