Milwaukee-based partner Michael Malone recently served as team captain for the defense in the 30th Annual Institute of Trial Practice on November 14, 2019. The seminar is scheduled to be rebroadcast several times in December.
Hosted by the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in conjunction with the State Bar of Wisconsin, the program is a trial demonstration which covers everything from making opening statements to the jury deliberation process. This year, Malone and the other presenters explored handling a fictional overdose death case before the Honorable David A. Hansher.
ABOTA, of which Malone is a member, is an invitation-only organization of more than 7,600 plaintiff and defense trial attorneys nationwide. It is dedicated to preserving the right to jury trial under the Seventh Amendment and training the next generation of lawyers to practice law with the highest standards of professionalism and advocacy.
For more information and to register for rebroadcasts of the program visit the Wisconsin Bar website.
