Jane Schlicht Selected to BizTimes Milwaukee 2024 Notable Sages

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Milwaukee office partner Jane Schlicht was selected among BizTimes Milwaukee's Class of 2024 Notable Sages Over 65.
The Notable Sages Award recognizes “the wisdom and experience of the region's corporate leaders, both active and retired, who embody excellence and leadership.”
During her decades-long career, Schlicht has established a long and successful track record representing companies in significant patent, trademark, and trade secret matters, as well as complex business disputes.
A recognized thought leader, she has been a guest lecturer at Marquette University Law School on a wide range of topics, including e-discovery, ethics, trial practice, and procedure. Schlicht is also a frequent presenter on trial practice and procedure, restrictive covenants and trade secrets, and Wisconsin ethics rules.
A dedicated mentor, Schlicht has provided guidance to countless attorneys as a Master in the Thomas E. Fairchild Inns of Court. She also helped develop and implement CLE programming and guided attorneys on ethics issues and the practice of law.
In addition to mentoring and her active practice, Schlicht is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Milwaukee and Wisconsin bar associations, the American Bar Association, and the Seventh Circuit Bar Association.
She served as chair of the Special Preliminary Review Panel of the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation and has had a significant role in shaping legal ethics regulation in the state. In addition, she served on an advisory committee to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin to study cost and delay in the state's federal court system.
Schlicht has also provided pro bono legal counsel to numerous underserved Milwaukee residents through the Milwaukee Justice Center.
