Wendy Chang has been appointed to serve as an Advisor to the State Bar's Commission for the Revision of the Rules of Professional Conduct. Ms. Chang will join a 16-member Commission, and five other advisors, who have the responsibility of reviewing the current policies and assisting in the drafting of a new set of ethics rules that will impact the future of the practice of law in California.
"The work of this Commission is so important and I am honored to have the opportunity to be a part of it," says Chang, who is a member of the firm's Lawyers for the Profession® practice group, which advises lawyers and law firms on all aspects of the "law governing lawyers." "The Commission has the important task of reviewing substantive policy issues that will protect the public, strengthen the profession and provide clear guidance as to how lawyers practice ethically."
Anthony Davis added, "We are delighted that the State Bar has recognized Wendy's deep understanding of legal ethics, and we have no doubt that her wise counsel will be of great value to the Commission in its deliberations."
