The national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Raylene DeWitte Grischow, a partner in the firm's Springfield office, has been appointed by Justice Rita B. Garman of the Illinois Supreme Court to serve as a resident Circuit Judge in the Seventh Judicial Circuit. The appointment takes effect on January 7, 2019.
Grischow was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the election of Judge Peter Cavanagh to the Fourth District Appellate Court. The State Journal-Register reported on the appointment in a story titled "Noll, Grischow appointed to circuit judgeships."
Grischow is a graduate of Washington University (J.D.) and Illinois State University (B.S.). She is admitted to practice in Illinois.
