Hinshaw Partner Cassidy Chivers Appointed to Serve on California State Bar COPRAC

The U.S. law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP today announced that Hinshaw partner Cassidy Chivers has been recommended and approved by the State Bar of Trustees to serve a four-year term on the State Bar of California's Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct (COPRAC). The appointment goes into effect in September 2021.
COPRAC is the standing committee of the State Bar Board of Trustees and is primarily responsible for issuing the state's legal ethics opinions and also serves as an advisor to the Board and other Bar constituents on legal ethics and the rules of professional conduct. The committee's opinions have been cited in decisions of the California Supreme Court, the State Bar Court Review Department, and the Courts of Appeal.
"I am honored by this opportunity to serve California's legal profession," said Chivers. "I look forward to working with my COPRAC colleagues, as we execute on our mission to advise on ethical compliance in response to rapidly evolving business and technology practices."
