Hinshaw Attorney Adam Guetzow Appointed to LeadingAge Legal Committee

The U.S. law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Hinshaw partner Adam S. Guetzow has been appointed to serve on the Legal Committee as the State Designated Counsel for LeadingAge Illinois, a research, advocacy, and education organization that represents more than 5,000 nonprofit aging services providers and other mission-minded organizations.
The LeadingAge Legal Committee manages the group's provision of legal aid. Members are also frequently called up on to serve on various LeadingAge taskforces and workgroups. The committee meets monthly to discuss a wide variety of subjects relevant to members, including legislative, regulatory and case law developments, planning for educational programs, and state law developments.
Guetzow has developed a successful litigation and risk management practice and is a go-to resource for his clients. He defends long-term care communities and other aging service providers in state and federal courts as well as before administrative and licensing tribunals. He has provided counsel on a number of critical issues, including the Illinois Authorized Electronic Monitoring Act and most recently on issues raised by the COVID-19 pandemic. He was recently recognized as one of Forty Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch by Chicago Lawyer.
