The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is proud to announce the firm was named a finalist for the 2023 Thomas L. Sager Award by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA). Hinshaw was among twenty law firms recognized in the category of firms with between 251 and 650 lawyers.
The Thomas L. Sager Award showcases firms that have demonstrated a commitment to creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive legal industry for all. The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) uses a unique Diversity Scorecard to measure firm demographics, recruiting, retention, and promotions. According to the MCCA, it is the only scorecard in the legal industry that conducts this level of comprehensive data analysis.
In a press release, MCCA Board Chair and Pinterest Chief Legal Officer and Business Affairs Officer, Wanji Walcott, praised the finalists. "[These firms] exemplify inclusive leadership across all levels of their organizations, working tirelessly to promote equity within the legal profession," she said. "Their commitment to forging alliances to drive collective change underscores the vital role collaboration plays in advancing these crucial goals."
Earlier this month, Hinshaw also secured recognition as a Mansfield Rule 6.0 certified law firm, following 5.0 certification the prior year.
