CHICAGO, IL – For the fourth year in a row, the national law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP has been awarded a 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC’s) Corporate Equality Index (CEI), recognizing Hinshaw’s commitment to diversity through promoting and protecting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights. Hinshaw’s 100% rating marks it as one of HRC’s “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality.”
The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. Its CEI report — the premiere national benchmark for LGBT workplace inclusion — provides an in-depth analysis and rating of large U.S. employers and their policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees. The policies, benefits and practices businesses must implement to earn a perfect score are best-in-class demonstrations of corporate and law firm commitments to LGBT workers.
“We are proud to again have achieved a 100% rating on the CEI,” said Hinshaw’s Chairman, Donald L. Mrozek. “We work hard to ensure an inclusive environment and equal opportunity for our staff and attorneys to achieve their highest potential and help our law firm thrive by providing the wealth of perspectives and experiences necessary to resolve our clients’ legal issues,” he added.
Todd M. Young, leader of the firm’s LGBT Affinity Group, “This accomplishment and others, such as Hinshaw’s selection by Equality Illinois as a leading Illinois law firm for LGBT equality, demonstrate the firm’s strong support for its LGBT team members at every level.”
