The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Fernando C. Rivera-Maissonet has been appointed Chair of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA)’s Business Law Section for the 2023-2024 term. previously served as Vice Chair from 2022-2023
Established in 1972, the HNBA is an incorporated, not-for-profit, national membership association that represents the interests of over 65,000 Hispanic attorneys, judges, law professors, legal assistants, law students, and legal professionals in the United States and its territories.
Rivera-Maissonet plays an active role as co-chair of the firm’s Hispanic Latino Affinity Network (HLAN). He has more than a decade of experience representing financial institutions in a wide range of legal issues. His primary practice areas include consumer financial services, mortgage servicing, and lender litigation, and he works closely with his clients to strategize cost-effective solutions to meet their business objectives.
