Eliot Abbott, Elizabeth Baker and Paul Gamm Receive Recognition in 2016 South Florida Legal Guide

Miami, FL; Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP partners Eliot C. Abbott and Elizabeth S. Baker have been honored as "top lawyers" in the 2016 South Florida Legal Guide, an annual publication listing the “top lawyers” and “top law firms” in South Florida, both in private and governmental practice. Hinshaw partner Paul J. Gamm has been honored as a "top up & comer."
Corporate attorney Eliot Abbott, a partner in the Miami office, has decades of experience in domestic, international, private and public business transactions in a variety of areas, including telecommunications, Internet commerce, real estate development and construction, international distribution and project finance. He advises clients on matters regarding planning, tax, contracts, financial and compensation planning, mergers and acquisitions, and exit strategies. Mr. Abbott received his J.D. from the University of Florida.
Florida Board Certified marital and family lawyer Elizabeth Baker, of counsel in the Miami office, focuses her practice in family and domestic litigation at the trial and appellate levels. Ms. Baker has, through her more than 4,000 hours of pro bono work and her private practice representation, contributed greatly to the advancement of the Family Law Bar in Florida. She has received several awards recognizing her efforts, including the 2015 Goucher College Alumnae/Alumni Award for Excellence in Public Service, The Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award 2015 – 11th Judicial Circuit, the Spectrum Award for Women, American Red Cross in 2014 and the Benjamin L. Cardin Public Service Award in 2013 from the University of Maryland. Baker received her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.
Litigation attorney Paul Gamm, a partner in the Ft. Lauderdale office, handles all phases of litigation at the state level. He focuses his practice in the areas of general liability and products liability defense. He has litigated and/or managed litigation in eight states, and deposed plaintiffs, witnesses and experts in 19 states. His general litigation defense practice includes retail and hospitality liability, pharmacy negligence, automobile and trucking accidents, products liability and medical malpractice, with a particular emphasis in defending catastrophic injury claims and large exposures. Mr. Gamm received his J.D., cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center.
