Ed Lenci Elected Chair of NYSBA's International Section, Promotes DEI Commitment

Ed Lenci was elected Chair of the International Section (Section) of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) at NYSBA's Annual Meeting on January 27. NYSBA is the oldest voluntary bar association in the nation and has over 78,000 members worldwide. The Section has 1,950 members in the US and around the world and chapters in 60 nations. Lenci's one-year term begins on June 1, 2021.
Among Ed's main goals for the Section is to "achieve diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI." Ed has strongly promoted DEI in the Section. Hinshaw colleague D.L. Morriss currently serves as one of the Sections’s two DEI Officers, and the meeting included a panel, co-moderated by Morriss, titled "A Breath of Fresh Air: 2020's Impact on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion / How the Global Legal Community Has Been Impacted and Is Responding to Proactively Advance the Landscape and Promote Inclusion."
