Fort Lauderdale, FL – Andrew M. Gordon, an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, has been appointed to the Fort Lauderdale Board of Adjustment by Mayor Jack Seiler. The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body charged with hearing appeals in cases involving Fort Lauderdale's Unified Land Development Regulations (ULDR), reviewing applications for temporary nonconforming use permits, special exceptions and variances to the terms of the ULDR, and granting relief where authorized under the ULDR. All decisions made by the Board of Adjustment are directly appealable to the Circuit Court of Broward County.
Gordon is a litigator who focuses his practice in the representation of management-side labor and employment matters. He has represented large and small employers through all stages of litigation and has extensive complex business litigation experience and is involved in all stages of federal and state litigation and arbitration. Gordon received his J.D. from St. Thomas University in Miami.
