Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that senior counsel Adam Topel has been appointed Chair-Elect of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) Appellate Advocacy Committee for the 2026—2027 bar year.
About the ABA’s TIPS Appellate Advocacy Committee
The ABA TIPS Appellate Advocacy Committee examines significant appellate decisions, develops continuing legal education (CLE) programming, and fosters professional connections among appellate practitioners. Its members represent private practice, corporate legal departments, aviation and aerospace insurers, and government entities.
The committee is dedicated to strengthening communication between the bench and bar, advancing excellence in appellate advocacy, and providing valuable educational opportunities for legal professionals.
About Adam
Adam joined Hinshaw's Government group earlier this year and brings extensive appellate experience to the firm. He represents clients in complex federal and state court appeals, with a particular focus on third-party coverage matters and extracontractual claims.
Prior to his appointment as Chair-Elect, Adam served as Vice-Chair of the ABA TIPS Appellate Advocacy Committee from 2024 to 2026, helping advance the committee's educational initiatives and professional development efforts.
