Tom Luetkemeyer—a Chicago-based partner in Hinshaw's labor and employment group—was quoted in the Law360 article, "Management-Side Employment Attys' New Year's Wish List." The article considers four employment law changes management-side employment attorneys will wish for in the New Year.
Luetkemeyer was among those describing the challenge for employers of complying with a patchwork of local paid leave laws. "We may have to comply with a leave bill in Chicago that doesn't exist in St. Louis, and there may be a more onerous bill in San Francisco," Luetkemeyer said. "One of the things I'd like to see is perhaps . . . a little more consistency in these various leave laws."
