Sergio E. Acosta, a Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP partner, was quoted in several articles pertaining to the recent indictment of FedEx surrounding their involvement with the delivery of illegal prescription drugs; these include "FedEx indictment part of long crusade against online pharmacies over drug sales", published by the Daily Journal and "FedEx indictment debated", published by Inside Counsel. The articles discuss the current debate surrounding the indictment of FedEx; which is alleged to have distributed narcotics in violation of Federal criminal laws, including drugs sold by an online pharmacy recently shut down and convicted of illegally distributing narcotics without valid prescriptions. The debate revolves around whether or not FedEx should be held accountable for the deliveries and Mr. Acosta was interviewed for his insight on that question.

He has represented companies, government entities and individuals in matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, complex financial fraud, criminal tax violations, export regulations and criminal forfeiture.
