Scott Seaman, a Chicago-based partner and co-chair of the firm's national Insurance Services Practice Group, participated in a Who's Who Legal international roundtable discussion of issues confronting the insurance and reinsurance industry. Seaman was one of only five "leading experts" selected by Who's Who Legal to weigh-in on developments in the industry over the past 18 months. The discussion focused on a variety of issues, including: insurer approaches to settlement and formal dispute resolution; regulatory compliance; reporting and governance; and challenges facing clients and their counsel.
Several insurance coverage decisions were noted by Seaman for their impact, who pointed out that "the volume of coverage decisions on cyber and data claims is growing, but due to the variety of coverage forms clear trends have yet to emerge." The roundtable concluded with Seaman's perspective on the challenges to come for insurance and reinsurance lawyers. "Our fundamental focus remains on providing world-class representation and advice to our clients," he said.
For more than two decades, Who's Who Legal has identified the foremost legal practitioners in multiple areas of business law from over 100 jurisdictions, drawing an extensive readership of corporate counsel worldwide.
