Ross Manella, partner-in-charge of Hinshaw's Fort Lauderdale office, discussed the upcoming office relocation in a recent Daily Business Review article titled, "New Law Firm Leases Trade Square Footage for Prime Locations, Views and Amenities." The office will be located in The Main Las Olas—a new Class A office space scheduled for completion next spring featuring ocean-view terraces, a gym, and event spaces available for tenants to rent.
Manella discusses the new 10,500 square-foot office, located in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale stating, "If we were reducing our square footage, we wanted to go into an A+ building in the center of Fort Lauderdale where young associates and all attorneys would enjoy themselves. A key point that we looked at was retention and people being happy in an environment with a lot of amenities."
In addition to daily work, the office will prioritize spaces for meetings, events, and depositions. He adds that the new location delivers more value per square foot and reflects the preferences of attorneys based in the office. "We spoke to every attorney-associates and partners-and employees, and… listened to them," Manella said. "We have smart people here, so I had confidence in what they were telling me, which was that they'd be able to keep their productivity high working remotely. And that's what happened."
