The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin recently profiled Hinshaw partner and deputy general counsel Steven M. Puiszis regarding his appointment as Chair of the DRI's Center for Law and Public Policy.
The Center for Law and Public Policy is DRI’s research and advocacy center, and makes its voice heard through public research materials, amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court, the DRI National Poll on the Civil Justice System, counsel to policy makers, and public education initiatives.
Puiszis, who has served DRI in various capacities, including as Secretary-Treasurer on DRI's board of directors, said he was honored to serve as the center's chair and would make helping the organization's U.S lawyers better understand the international regulations that impact clients with international operations a major focus of his tenure. "One of the things we try to do is help our members and provide them information that can help …them be competitive in the market place and actually advance their career," he said.
Bob Shannon, Hinshaw's managing partner, added that Puiszis would be a great fit for the role, given his deep experience in issues at the intersection of law and government.
