“Meaningful Use Electronic Health Record Incentive Payment Audits: Are You Ready?”
Hinshaw Health Care partner Michael A. Dowell wrote an article published by Bloomberg BNA's Health Law Reporter in its November 29, 2012 issue. The article discusses the Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program created by Congress in 2009 as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, outlines components of the related attestation and audit processes, makes the case for an increase in audits by the OIG, and gives providers practical solutions to prepare for an audit.
