Hinshaw's Jason Kim was quoted in a article by the Daily Journal titled "Longtime workers comp lawyer set to retire." The article focuses on the retirement of attorney Edward S. Muehl, while also discussing how the dynamics of the workers' compensation field of law has changed over time.
Mr. Kim discuses how California workers' compensation reform happens about every five years with the intent to alleviate costs to overburden employers who reportedly leave the state due to high premium costs. "It was punishing California employers, so in some of the reforms, the focus has been on how to balance it out and help employers while giving benefits to the injured worker," he explains.
Jason Kim concentrates his practice in the defense of workers' compensation claims. He provides a full range of services to both self-insured employers and insurance companies, including Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) and various Fortune 200 clients nationwide. Mr. Kim is certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law.
