Janis Meyer was featured in the article "Legal Sector Hiring Shows Shift in Demand and Practices." The analysis, published by Law360, reviewed employment data published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics to track trends in how law firms are adapting to changes in technology and client demand.
"Clients now have more buying power than they had before," Meyer noted, adding that they "have much more say in the way their matters are handled and are much more concerned with price." Staffing requirements of law firms are also changing, according to Meyer, because "there's software that can do a lot of things entry-level lawyers used to do."
