In a Commentary published in the Miami Herald Business Monday, Hinshaw attorneys Andrew Gordon and Megan Coughlin describe how the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides much needed relief to individuals and business grappling with the fallout of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The authors review the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which delivers nearly $350 billion in forgivable loans to small businesses that keep workers employed during the COVID-19 crisis. They also describe the CARES Act's significant expansion of unemployment benefits for workers.
