Hinshaw partner and former federal prosecutor David S. Weinstein was a guest on a CBS Miami news segment that discussed the implementation of Florida Amendment 4. Last November, a majority of Florida voters approved Amendment 4, which restores voting rights for most convicted felons.
Weinstein said the "devil is in the details" when it comes to implementing the Amendment. In particular, he highlighted language in the amendment that requires felons to have "completed all of the terms" of their sentence in order to have their voting rights restored.
