Daniel McGrath Moderated Two Panels at the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel Symposium

Hinshaw partner and Product Liability Practice Group leader Daniel McGrath moderated two panels at the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel Symposium in Philadelphia held from October 22–24, 2023.

McGrath moderated the following panels:

1. “Current Developments and Best Practices in Class Action Litigation”
   • The panel discussed what corporations should do when they become a target of class actions, best practices to discourage or mitigate such lawsuits in the future, and recent class action cases and trends.
2. “Lessons from the Varsity Blues Scandal”
   
   • The panel spoke on why all corporate counsel need to be prepared to investigate and defend against claims and lawsuits arising due to the actions of rogue employees, as this scandal revealed.

McGrath also served as one of the program chairs for the symposium.
