Hinshaw's Craig Liljestrand has published his latest Chicago Daily Law Bulletin (CDLB) column. Titled "Talcum user fails to establish jurisdiction," the article examines Smith v. Avon Products, No. 2:18-cv-00826-RDP, 2019 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 28991, at *2-3 (N.D. Ala., Feb. 25).
In the article, Liljestrand explains the decision by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama to dismiss a complaint after finding the plaintiff failed to establish the court had specific jurisdiction over the nonresident defendants for the claims asserted.
