Conrad C. Nowak recently participated in meetings with senior administration officials discussing foreign and domestic policy issues related to ethnic relations.
As part of the kick off for June's Immigrant Heritage Month, ethnic leaders from around the country were called to the White House to participate in meetings with officials from various agencies and departments such as the Office of the President, including a conversation with Valerie Jarrett, Special Advisor to President Obama, the State Department, Homeland Security, National Security Council and others. The topics of conversation ranged from the crisis in Ukraine and Central European stability, immigration policy, economic development, terrorism and general recognitions.
The group of ethnic leaders was also treated to an earlier bipartisan Congressional reception attended by numerous representatives and senators from throughout the country.
Nowak, who is the immediate past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Polish American Association, has been an active participant in policy related to foreign and domestic ethnic affairs, frequently working on bipartisan efforts related to same.
