Hinshaw Partner Jim Keeling was recently featured on the Clean Power Hour in an episode titled "Let the Sun Shine In: How Churches and Colleges Can Save with Solar with Austin Carr and Jim Keeling."
Keeling spoke with the Clean Power Hour host Tim Montague and Austin Carr, president of Greenlink Energy Solutions, about the significance of behind-the-meter solar PV installations for churches and universities in Northern Illinois.
During the podcast, Keeling discussed his personal involvement in the Rockford community and his volunteer work on solar projects for Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and Rockford University.
The decision to switch to solar is often driven by a desire to protect against rising electricity costs while benefiting the environment and economy. Keeling dived into the financial details and opportunities of installing solar panels in churches and universities.
He also demonstrated how such installations can yield substantial returns on investment, including generous federal tax credits, along with receiving potential grants from the Illinois Shines state incentive and the Environment Protection Agency's (EPA) Solar for All.
