Hinshaw Labor & Employment partner Cheryl L. Wilke was quoted in an article published by Law360. The article states that a number of technology companies received demand letters from female employees who were allegedly denied promotions or terminated after taking initiative at the workplace and "leaning in," —as suggested in a best-seller by Sheryl Sandberg, Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, about balancing family and career. Ms. Wilke's comments discussed activity she has seen in her own employment law practice, as well as the implications for Fortune 500 companies and the potential for women to use the book's messages as weapons.
