"New bill would allow private employers to offer time off in lieu of extra pay"
Hinshaw Labor & Employment partner Cheryl Wilke was quoted extensively in an article published in Inside Counsel magazine in its June 2013 issue. The article discusses a new bill proposed in April that would give private sector employers the same flexibility regarding overtime compensation that public employers currently enjoy. The Working Families Flexibility Act would amend the Fair Labor Standards Act to allow private employers to offer compensatory time off to employees who work extra hours in lieu of overtime pay.
