Anthony Davis recently presented at the 44th ABA National Conference on Professional Responsibility. Reporter Helen Gunnarsson of Bloomberg provided a review of his panel presentation in an article titled "Billable Hour 'Makes No Sense' in an AI World."
Davis warned that the next generation of lawyers will have to understand how AI works. He predicted that with AI automating expertise, clients will no longer pay for a lawyer's time; instead they will pay for a lawyer's "judgment, empathy, creativity, adaptability, and emotional intelligence."
