Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP attorney Adam R. Vaught, a member of the firm's Lawyers for the Profession® group, was quoted by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin in a recent article titled, "Panel: Lawyer's Conduct Protected by Privilege." The article discusses a recent ruling by the First District Appellate Court, which held that the absolute attorney litigation privilege is not limited to communications in a defamation context, but also bars nonclients' claims based on the attorney's conduct pertaining to litigation.
