Mohamed Sweify to Moderate NYSBA Program on "Battle of the Seats" in International Arbitration

New York-based attorney and chair of the New York State Bar Association's (NYSBA) International Dispute Resolution Committee, Mohamed Sweify, is set to moderate a virtual panel titled "The Battle of the Seats in International Arbitration" on March 28, 2024. The panel will consist of representatives from various jurisdictions, highlighting the key developments and advantages their jurisdictions offer to convince parties to choose that jurisdiction as an arbitral seat. The panelists will argue in favor of their jurisdiction based on various elements, including the latest developments in international arbitration, arbitration-friendly laws, neutrality, court support, challenging awards, digital arbitration, cost, and logistics. Following the panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive discussion.
This program is to be presented by the NYSBA's Dispute Resolution Section, the International Dispute Resolution Committee, and the Continuing Legal Education Committee.
