Hinshaw partner Joel Wiegert will serve as the conference co-chair for the Fidelity Law Association (FLA) 31st Annual Conference, in Chicago, Illinois, on October 8, 2025, for which Hinshaw is a firm sponsor. His Hinshaw colleague, Michael Adams, will also present as part of a panel titled "Who's Holding the Bag? (And Who Gets to File the Claim)?"
Mike’s panel will discuss employee theft of client property under Commercial Crime Policies, focusing on coverage evolution and the distinctions between direct and third-party losses.
The FLA is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to facilitating prompt and fair handling of fidelity claims. Although membership in the FLA is limited to persons employed in fidelity claims handling or underwriting by insurance companies or reinsurers, the FLA Annual Conference is open to anyone with an interest in fidelity insurance.
A distinguished list of speakers will present on a variety of topics of interest to the fidelity community at the conference. The keynote speaker, Stephen Ramey, the Chief Cybersecurity Officer for IronGate Security, will speak on Cybersecurity Crossroads – Continuing Threats, from Business Email Compromise to the Evolving Quantum Disruption.
